Wanda Coleman has been writing poetry and fiction since age five; her work appears in more than 80 anthologies and she has published many books of poetry and prose, including, most recently, Ostinato Vamps (2003), Wanda Coleman’s Greatest Hits 1966-2003 (2004) and a collection of short stories, Jazz and Twelve O’Clock Tales  (2008). Her collected essays appear in Native in a Strange Land: Trials and Tremors (1996),and its companion book The Riot Inside Me: More Trials & Tremors (2005).
