About Tom

Tom BaldwinTom Baldwin believes that the Americas were inhabited much earlier than commonly believed.  His novel The Evening and the Morning presents supporting research from California's Mojave Desert. Archaeologists agree that by ten to twelve thousand years ago people inhabited North America, but they vigorously disagree about when they first arrived, how they got here, and where they came from.  As a rule, the older an archaeological site claims to be, the more controversial it becomes.

Baldwin has spent over twenty years as a public official, as a Parks and Recreation Commissioner and as a School Board Member. During that time he conducted more public hearings than he cares to remember, but relishes speaking in front of and with a crowd. Tom has been an amateur archaeologist (also for over twenty years) and has a keen interest in Native American mysticism. His book, The Evening and the Morning (2009), won an Honorable Mention in the novel category during the 2008 Utah Arts Council Original Writing Competition Awards.
