Join the West Jordan Historical Society for their 10th Anniversary as they celebrate their Seventh Annual Pumpkin Walk.
This year’s special guest is author Brandon Mull, author of the New York Times bestselling Fable Haven books, The Candy Shop War, and Pingo. Brandon will read and discuss his recent book The Candy Shop War, followed by a question and answer session. Brandon will be on hand to sign his books.
Brandon Mull has worked as a comedian, a filing clerk, a patio installer, a movie promoter, a copywriter, and briefly as a chicken stacker. His favorite job is writing fiction, partly because making up elaborate lies has always come naturally. For a couple of years, he lived in the Atacama Desert of Northern Chile where he learned Spanish and juggling. Brandon no longer lives on the side of a mountain above a prison. He now resides in a happy little valley near the mouth of a canyon with his wife and three children. Since the arrival of his new daughter, he is more the golem of the household than ever, following whatever orders trickle down the chain of command. Brandon travels the country visiting schools, promoting literacy, and sharing his message that Imagination Can Take You Places. After the success of Fablehaven, Brandon is thrilled to be writing novels full-time. A fortune cookie once proclaimed he would become a New York Times bestselling author. Fablehaven: Rise of the Evening Star, released in May 2007, debuted on the New York Times Bestseller list. The message from the fortune cookie now hangs on his fridge. |
