Lynn Kilpatrick earned her PhD in Creative Writing from the University of Utah. Her story "What Idaho Offers" won this year's Utah Arts Council prize and her short story collection, The Infinite Cages, won the Utah Arts Council prize last year. Her poetry, fiction and non-fiction have appeared in Tin House, Ninth Letter, Denver Quarterly , and elsewhere. This spring she will present the Distinguished Faculty Letter at Salt Lake Community College on "First Person Spaces: Architecture and Narrative." She grew up in Iowa and Southeast Idaho. She lives in Salt Lake City with her husband, son and dog.
