R.D. Rosen, a former senior editor at Workman Publishing, is the author of several books, including the Edgar Award-winning mystery Strike Three You’re Dead and Psychobabble (a word he created in 1975).  He is the co-author of the New York Times bestselling humor books Bad Cat, Bad Dog, Bad Baby, and Bad President

Rosen’s humor and essays have been published in The New York Times and New York magazine and have aired on National Public Radio’s All Things Considered. In The Generic News, a satire he co-wrote that aired nationally on PBS in 1983, Rosen played the roles of all members of a local news team. He moved to New York, his current home, in 1985, where he continued his work in television as a writer for NBC’s Saturday Night Live and a producer for CBS News.
