Walter Kirn joins the Festival in cooperation with the James G. and Ella Ruth Bergera Family.
Walter Kirn is a highly regarded novelist and magazine writer. Kirn’s latest book, The Unbinding, is an online novel written in real time and published by Slate roughly twice a week between March and June 2007. Kirn has written four previous books, including Thumbsucker, which became a 2005 film, and Mission to America, published in 2006. Kirn is a contributing editor to Time and GQ and a regular critic for the New York Times Book Review. His work has appeared in the The New Yorker, New York Times Magazine, GQ, Vogue, and Esquire. He lives in Livingston, Montana.
