CARES ACT EMERGENCY FUNDING FROM UTAH HUMANITIES

Utah Humanities has emergency funding available for Utah-based not-for-profit and cultural organizations that provide humanities programming. If you are not an organization that provides humanities programming, you may still be eligible for emergency funding from one of our sister agencies that offer similar funding.

Funding for these grants has been provided by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act economic stabilization plan.

UTAH HUMANITIES STATEMENT ON COVID-19

History News CoverUtah Humanities believes that public health and safety are top priorities. With daily and sometimes hourly changes to COVID-19 (Corona Virus) in Utah, we are monitoring the situation carefully and following both federal and state guidance on how to minimize exposure to and spread of the virus on a daily basis. The health and peace of mind of our staff, board, partners, grantees, and program participants will guide our decision-making in the coming weeks.

For now, we ask our partners and grantees who host activities and events in their venues to monitor the situation in their own communities, follow CoronaVirus.Utah.gov and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations, use their discretion in determining if events should be rescheduled or cancelled, and keep Utah Humanities staff informed as they work towards decisions in the interest of keeping their communities safe.

Please check with us for program cancellation updates on our web calendar and Facebook page. If you have programming questions, please reach out to the UH staff; we’re here to help.
