Through the Lens: I AM HUMAN
Jan 8, 2020, 7:00 pm
Utah Film Center presents a free screening of the film I AM HUMAN. A profile of the world’s first humans with implantable brain-computer interfaces: a paraplegic, an artist struggling with Parkinson’s, and a blind retiree. As the subjects deal with the realities of becoming "cyborgs," neuroscientists face increasingly pressing scientific and ethical quandaries.
Post-film Q&A with the film directors and a representative from Blackrock, a local neuroprosthetics company; moderated by RadioWest’s Doug Fabrizio. No ticket required. Members have priority seating from 6:20-6:40, and doors open to everyone at 6:40. Through the Lens series presented in partnership with KUER and RadioWest.
