A generative writing workshop facilitated by Nan Seymour, founder of River Writing along with Raven Chavez, Bureau of Land Management Soil Scientist, and birding guide, Steve Cox. The group will meet live at the Escalante River Trailhead on Saturday, September 17th. Session 2 will go from 1pm - 3:30 pm.

Everyone is welcome! (Ages 12+) This workshop is for anyone who would like some encouragement to find and foster their voice in relationship to place. Raven and Steve will be teaching about certain aspects of ecology along the Escalante River and Nan will provide friendly poetry-based prompts with plenty of writing encouragement but you don’t have to identify as a writer. Please bring your notebook, pen, a little courage, and a camp chair. Wear a hat, comfortable walking shoes, and drinking water.
