Special Exhibit - Silver Reef: A Beautiful, Substantial Mining Camp

Skilled carpenters and stone workers created buildings in Silver Reef, which made it exceptional for a mining town of its era. Come learn about the craftsmanship that went into the construction of the town of Silver Reef in this special exhibit. While you're here, explore the many work exhibits in the museum and visit our new "mock mine" exhibit downstairs. Free with general museum admission.

Hours: Monday, Friday, Saturday 10:00am–5:00pm, Thursday 10:00am–8:00pm (Tuesday 10:00am–1:00pm

This exhibit is part of Washington County Works!, a county-wide celebration of work that accompanies the Smithsonian The Way We Worked exhibition, stopping in Leeds from September 16 to November 4, 2017 at the Silver Reef Museum.
